Moons of the Jupiter. Their information and naming and many more things to know about.

 Jupiter is the largest plant in the whole solar system and it has almost 80 known moons which forms a satellite system called as the Jovian System. The four massive moons of Jupiter are know as Galilean moons as they were discovered by Galileo Galileo,the names of those moons are Lo,Europa,Gaynmede and Callisto.The Galilean moons are by far the most massive object to orbit jupiter.


The Characteristics of each moon very widely. The four Galilean moons are all over 3100 km in diameter and largest among the is Gaynmede and is also the 9th largest in the whole solar system. While other moons are less then 250km in diameter with barely exceeding 5km, most of them revolves opposite to Jupiter's rotation.


According to the position of the moons in the orbit of Jupiter they grouped by different names such as :-

Metis,Adrastea,Amalthea and Thebe are know as inner satellites as they are close to the Jupiter.
