Helix Nebula

 The Helix Nebula is a Planetary Nebula. The distance measured by the Gaia mission is 655plus or minus 13 light years. The Helix Nebula has sometimes been referred to as the "Eye of God" in pop culture as well as the "Eye of Sauron". The observed glow of the central star is so energetic that it causes the previously expelled gases to brightly fluoresce.

FACTS ABOUT HELIX NEBULA:-

1. IT IS LOCATED IN THE CONSTELLATION AQUARIUS.

2. CLOSEST TO EARTH OF ALL OTHER BRIGHT PLANETARY NEBULA.

3. SIMILAR TO CAT'S EYE NEBULA AND THE RING NEBULA.

4. IT IS FORMED BY INTERMEDIATE LOW MASS STAR, WHICH SHED ITS OUTER LAYER NEAR THE END OF IT'S EVOLUTION.

5. THE CENTRAL STAR OF THE NEBULA IS WHITE DWARF.

6. IT LOOKS LIKE PROLATE SPHEROID SHAPE.

7. WE SEE OUTER MOST RING AS FLATTENED ON ONE SIDE DUE TO COLLIDING WITH THE AMBIENT INTERSTELLAR MEDIUM.
