Effect of solar activity on Earth

When charged particle from Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) reach areas near Earth, they can trigger intense lights in the sky called Auroras.

When particularly strong, a CME can also interfere in power utility grids, which at their worst can cause electricity shortages and power outages. In recent Discovery we have found a large sunspot.

According to Scientists, a massive sunspot of the size of Mars is turning towards the Earth. If sunspot grew bigger and bigger it will affect radiocommunication, Global Positioning System (GPS) connectivity, power grids and satellites.
