FLARES OF SUN 2020

Solar flare is a sudden flash of increased brightness on the sun, usually observed near it's surface and in close proximity to a sunspot group. Powerful flares are often, but not always, accompanied by a coronal mass of ejection.

What will happen if this solar flares hit our Earth?

The lights would, go out, as would the internet, and any device that draws current from the wall.

Electronically controlled municipal water supplies like toilet and sewage treatment system would stop working. Perishable food and medication would be lost.

It's effect on human body

Flare radiations are hazardous to satellites, human beings, communication,etc.

Solar flare which will reach the Earth will create a rise in DNA mutation and cancer rates if not shielded.

SOLAR FLARE OF 2020

The sun unleashed a strong sun flare last week for the first time since 2017. Tracking the sun's solar cycle can help scientist  learn more about why it behaves the way it does and possibly predict the star's activity.

The flare was weak therefore didn't trigger any alert from the space weather prediction centre.
