What is the green glow in the atmosphere of mars

The atmosphere of mars has a green glow just like that of Earth. An emerald glow in mars wispy Atmosphere, has been spotted for the first time by The European Space Agency's TGO ( TRACE GAS ORBITER).

One of the brightest emission seen on Earth stems from night glow. More specifically, from oxygen atom emitting a particular wavelength of light that has never seen around another planet. However it's prediction has been declared around 40 years ago.

Night glow is different it is caused by the interaction of sunlight with atoms and molecules in the air, which generate a subtle but continuous light. Emission is hard to seen on Earth also.

Day glow, the diurnal component of this constant emission, is harder to spot and is driven by slightly different mechanism.

TGO saw these stripped oxygen atoms glowing in both visible and ultraviolet light, with the visible emission about 16.5 times more intense than the UV. TGO has been circling mars since October 206
